I have found a button that appears to be from WWII. The name of the manufacturer is P.J. King from Melbourne. There is a map of Australia and a crown. Around the edge are the words 'Australian Military Forces'. The button is 2cm in diameter. I wonder if anyone can give me any information on what type of uniform this button may have been worn on and possibly which military campaigns. Thanks for any help. Regards, Graham Iversen.

Spent time with the Irish Unit in Somalia, our camp Aqua Drill was located across the road from the Irish contengency in Biadoa, it was a great pleasure to meet and travel with the Irish .....a grea group of guys...at their departure we gave them the TX flag we flew over our camp, they were going to try to hang it in an area back home in Irland. What a great army of men, always ready to assist us in our operation. We were drilling water wells to support the troops throughout Somalia. Thanks guys will always remember the Irish and cherish the memories from Somalia. Dwayne Wolf

hey there, fantastic site, always enjoy it, on the iron cross page for ww1 you state hitler receive a iron cross second class, but he also received the first class which at the time was very rare for a corporal to receive such award,he distinguished himself by running as a messenger in the front lines with total disregard for his safety and as we all know got gassed at the end or somewhere in that time parameter, i believe the first cross he got was for saving a wounded officers life, thanks and keep up the good work

Hi Great spot to find. Can anyone help me with my obsession please. I saw in New Zealand a TV clip about a British man making poppies from bullet casings from battlefields. Where can I find him? Many thanks
