I am a descendent of Ernest Augustus Jentsch. Was ecstatic that he has been finally found in Fromelles last year. Have found your sight very informative researching my Great Grandfathers' service in France WW1 and my Husbands Grandfather in the 6th Light Horse Regiment. Am looking forward to being able to visit Ernests final resting place one day in Fromelles. Thankyou! Great website!!

My name is Wendy Mills (nee Page) daughter of Dick (Charles Theodore) Page, who served in the 39th on the Kokoda Track. Dad passed away back 15 years ago next Monday (4th May, 1994). I watched the brave men and women in the Anzac Parades across Australia with a tear in my eyes, and pride in my heart. I am very keen to find anyone who served with my father, who would be willing to pass on any stories they may have had of Dad during the war years, or even after the war. I loved my father very much, and I, my children and grandchildren are so proud of what he and his mates did for us to keep Australia free. We lived in Mildura all my life, but Dad originally came from Pooncarie and Wentworth in New South Wales. If anyone has any anecdotes or stories that they would like to pass on to me, please email me at irishrover@dodo.com.au or write to me at 104 Lodge Road, Wooloowin, Queensland 4030. My mobile phone number is 0421 208 455. I would really appreciate any help you may be able to give me. Kindest regards, Wendy Mills

I found the journal on this site very moving. My grandmothers baby brother, Leo Murphy, migrated to Australia for adventure. He joined the ADF, was put in the 21st Battalion and sent back to fight in Europe. He died in action on 24th August, 1916. May he rest in peace.
