My Uncle served in malaya, and was involved in a plane crash whilst dropping supplies. His name is Thomas Lee, and he was the only survivor aof that crash. he walked out of the jungle around Xmas time 1956 after about 12 days alone in the jungle. Hope some of you remember him as he is now in poor health

I joined Army Reserve the same day as Pt. Russell
Copeman. His father, Major Copeman was our
commanding officer. I still remember him well. I
wanted to join the regs at the same time. I was at
the end of my apprenticeship. My boss would have
none of it. I had to finish my time.
Russell was one of the boys. Today is the
anniversary of Long Tan. May he rest in Peace.

In memory of my comrade DEREK ALLEN of The Loyal Regiment who died in National Service in april 1957, aged 18 years only having been in Malaya for a few weeks. I have visited several times on my way to Australia to pay my respects.Rest in peace
