great site. I have not seen much of these since US withdrawal early 1973. My children often ask about my service life in ARVN and the US war here. This site can provide some facts about the past, rather than the books from schools.

Hi
Im searching for information regarding my grandfather NX60363 Cpl M.J.L Thrower who was a POW from mid 1942 till the end of 1945. He served in the 2/19th and also in 'Rose' Force. I know he finished his captivity in Fukuoka-22-Honami but have no information prior to him being there. I know this camp wasnt started till 15th Jan 1945. I would appreciated any help in finding where he was prior to Fukuoka.
Thankyou
Deane

Hi there,
I have a question about cadet badges in New Zealand.
I'm looking for what type of hat badges were used pre 1902, and what was used 1939-1950.
I'm making a wee poster of the different hat badges of cadets in NZ, but looking for an image of those two eras above (possibly even buy the adges too).
Cheers,
Wayne Henderson

In the mid 60's several RAN ships were built at the Bath Iron Works in Maine.. The crews of these ships were assigned to Newport Navy Base to become familiarized with US made equipment.. I got to know some of these sailors and would like to know the names and types of ships..
