Does anyone remember my band, Jack Ely and The
Kingsmen, and I playing there at the school in '65
or "66. I cherished that playing date and place.
The people were the best. Sure wish I still had the
seal skin boots I was given.

I have just finished transcribing a letter my father
wrote to his family in 1936 about his trip home to
England from Flin Flon, via Churchill, on a grain
ship. He worked for the mining manager as his
secretary and also taught his wife to play the piano.
Thought I would sign your guest book and wish

Great place to grow up--the rocks were our playground, winter & summer. Best of all, I loved Phantom Lake. How can I get hold of Birk Sproxton's book on that subject? Hi to anyone I know.

I have many great memories of living here. Flin Flon is such an amazing place with wonderful, friendly people!! It is a hard place to forget. Looking forward to taking my kids there this summer to experience things they can't in Alberta!! (like catching fish, haha) Love this place and the people!!

I played Ice Hockey for 15 years. A very good friend of mine coached at Wespoint (US Army Military Academy). We were in a discussion the other day and were going down memory lane on players from the 50's and 60's and home towns. I mentioned that there was a great player that came out of Flin Flon. In exasperation we gave up. I was thinking Glenn Hall, but then recalled he was from Humbolt, Sask. Might any one have any ideas? By the way that festival in July looks pretty good.
