Hello old friends, I made it to the big birthday bash and met a few school mates from 1953--54. Then went out to Alberta etc. Too bad no one to travel with. What happened to the girls ? I have a 1953 picture with names but can't find it at the moment. We lived next to North Ave after living in Creighton. I visited Johnny Dubinac at Beaver Lake but have a mistake with his e-mail address. I'm still thinking of moving back to Manitoba. It seems I have never felt at home here in New Brunswick.( possibly because I can't speek french,) I think I'll be back again in 2010. Bye for now, Eldon . Drop a note. I'll answer you Nov. 8/09

My wife Fern taught at Ross Lake School and I at McIsaac uptown for two years. Then as relief principal at Willowdale, Birchview, Terrace,Ross Lake. Then principal at Channing. This was l953 to 1960. Active in Trout Festival handling publicity and stage shows. We were also active in Lion's Club, elected president last year there. Curled at Ross Lake rink. Avid Bomber fan during Bobby Kirk coaching era. Three of our five children were born in FF at St. Joseph's. M,A. Roach and W.A. Green were top brass at HBM&S. Many good friendships in the period left us with great memories of some very happy times.

"The country turned hilly and we entered a rocky
area (something called greenstone) that looked like
the badlands. We were in Flin Flon, a huge (and I
mean huge) mining complex with enormous mining
and processing installations that handled gold,
copper and nickel. Flin Flon was one of those places
where the name so intrigued us that a stop was
imperative" John Reynolds "Out-of-the-way
