Was stationed at Roosey Roads 1976-1979 as an Air Force Vet Tech. We used to come over to Fort Allen and hold shot clinics for pets at the chapel.
Also, it was fairly common for corpsman from Roosey to be assigned to Fort Allen and a lot of us would make weekend trips to Fort Allen to party with our pals and visit the local sites.
I had the opportunity to return to PR as an AF Physician Recruiter 1989-1992 and visited Ft. Allen again, as well as Roosey Roads and, Ramey (where we also held shot clinics).
Great times and great memories.

I am looking forward to the 2006 Reunion in San Diego. It will not only give me a chance to visit with old shipmates, but it has been quite sometime since I have been back to the home base of my career in the Navy.
I was at Ft. Allen from May,1970 to December,1971. I have many fond memories of my time at Ft. Allen. I worked in DCS Relay - Section III. Some of my shipmates were Bill Mahodil, Bill Sheltry, Mike Davis, Robert Linton, Lee Haas, Ralph Connahan. What a group we were.

This is a re-post from 2001...
I served at Ft. Allen from '66 to '68. RM2 at Receivers in Salinas. The guy at the console in the picture
taken by Al Weimann is Ron Johnson. I worked with him and some others at receivers on 2nd & 3rd
watch. Others were Bob Kimes, Tom Crenshaw, Ingram, Beale, Woody (there were two of them, Wood and Fugh). Some other guys I hung with -
Ken Dougherty, guitar player Larry Lubas, Tom Estes, Randy ???, drummer Dave ??? - we played in a rock band
at the club called the "Allusions". I was the bass player (still playing)...
I remember Schneider and Miles. Garvin. Jerry Jernigan, Russ Holbrook, Chief McGehee, Mel Davis, Snuffy, Max Baim, Gary Woods (busted my egg yolks), Gary the weightlifter, Edo, so many names to remember, sorry if I've left out someone ...
Man it's been a long time, but I sure am glad I found this site. Keep up the good work...
