Stationed Ft. Allen Jan. 66- 2 Aug 69. Arrived as EN-1 asigned to Air Conditioning Shop in Public Works Dept. Departed as a WO-1(Machinist). Great tour of duty for my career. Worked fopr Lt. Tom Crane, Lt. Steve Sc hady and Lt. Jim Jackson. Attended P'Cola and St. Louis reunionsc. Have had some health problems but paln to attend the 2010 reunion. Feel free to e-mail.

Receiver Site (1970-1973). My wife and I just returned last night from an emergency trip to Ponce. While there I had the opportunity to have lunch with Bob Prewitt. Bob has pretty much remained on "the Rock" since we got out in 1973. He lives in the San Juan area and seems pretty content with life there. Bob Prewitt, Brad Morris, and I flew together into San Juan for the first time in March of 1970. I had the opportunity to see Brad Morris in April of last year. He returned to his home of Waterloo, Iowa and now runs the family Appliance store there. Brad is the one out of the group who has hardly aged any at all.

Worked in the Galley in 76-77. Great memories, 4-lane bowling alley,shufflebord (table), outdoor movies (saw Jaws for the first time!) I was only 18 so you guys and gals helped mold me...yikes!!

I lived there from '75-'76, and loved every minute. Was 14, spent a lot of time at the pool almost across the street, played a lot of hoops at the gym with Kiki and the other sailors. Hung out at the snack bar, playing pinball and Asteroids, and of course the Teen Club. Father is Norm Ross, was XO at the time. Brothers Norman, Dan, and sister Janet. Worked different jobs, including running the concession stand at the softball field.

I remember the old "fort" and the great people I served with. Anyone heard from any of the admin office or personnel office crew? Luis Mederios, Mary McCarty, Chief Delvon, or VW driving Chief Cullen?

It is nice to see all the old pictures. I was married to Joe Daigneault but divorce him 33 years ago but I still enjoy looking at the pictures of the people I knew then. I do have some pictures too from Lenzy Lewis, Terry Swan and others. Keep up the good work. Rosin

Stationed at Ft. Allen 69-73. Worked in the fleet center, sec 1. Just connected with John Rivett who told me of this site and reunions. This site is great wished I would have known about it long ago. Some friends from Ft. Allen are EC Smith, JW Smith, Al Lemieux, John Rivett, Henry Aldridge, Jim Mitchell, Mike Thomas, Brad Morris, Jerald Stewart, Jim Shotts, Jerry Davies, Charles Archer, Larry & Gary Brimner, Tom Kaske, Jeff Blunden, and Joey Barden.
