I'm currently working at the Puerto Rico Army National Guard Language Center, here in FT. Allen, Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico. Is good to have an idea of how Ft. Allen was and how it is now. Take care and great site!

I was just a child when my father was stationed at Fort Allen. I remember so much about the base and the people there and hope to someday visit the base again. I was only 6 - 10 years old while I was there, but for some reason remember allot about the base. My fathers name was CB Sexton and was a gunners mate but worked in MP while there.

I was stationed at ft allen in 1964-65. i was a cynsn and pushed teletype tape for two years. i didn't do anything on base except work, sleep and eat. fantastic food! i spent all my off duty time in Ponce. i then was sent to Argentia Nfld because BUPERS saw i was an E3. (couldn't pass the 25wpm typing test!) Great duty for a 18 year old kid. after dealing with ensigns arrogance, i quit the navy in 1968. Jay Pierce

Hi, I lived at Fort Allen from 1974 to 1978. I was a civilian and went to the base school. Played on the women's softball team and hung out with alot of the waves and sailors (Cindy Price, Dewey Fisher, Bill Custer, Tom Schriendorfer, Eric Weber). My name was Shirley Valentine then. I had the best teen-age years there. Hey fellow students and friends email me.

Well, I've decided I'm going to keep posting here until I start getting some responses from people I would really like to get back in touch with.
(Lee Henninger, this does not apply to you. You've responded each time I've done this so I know you're out there.(smile) ) I was stationed at the Fort from around New Year's Eve 1977 to the summer of 1978. I was in Section Two in the Commcenter. I would like to get e-mails from anyone I worked with, regardless of what section you actually worked in. Some specific people I'd like to hear from: Bob Wills, Gerry Buck, Mike Teeter,Dan Deshazo, Ricky "Stu" Williams, John Sweeney, Deb Sweeney, Hayes "Dick" Boles, Roosevelt Fentress, Bill Meyer, Bill Sponaugle, Jerry McCarty, Mary McCarty, Jan Ellis, Tim Brewer, "Mike" Burba...
I'd like to hear from any of these people or anyone else who was at the Fort during the same time frame..I'm sure I'll remember you. Feel Free to e-mail me anytime.
