To the family and friends of Screaming Eagle, PFC Sheldon Hawk Eagle my condolence and prayers go to you. As a former 101st Abn "Screaming Eagle" myself I am deeply sadden to hear of the untimely death of such a proud warrior as "Screaming Eagle" Sheldon Hawk Eagle who gave the highest sacrifice for not only his People of the Proud Indian Nation(s) but also for the rest of the Nation, the United States of America. May his spirit continue to sore as a "Screaming Eagle" above this beautiful land of ours and protect the nations people below as he did in battle.

The Pride of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. I am a member of the CRST, also. I was in the military until I was discharged for medical reasons. I am so sorry I couldn't make it home for the funeral. I went home for Christmas and there are still posters and ribbons everywhere! PFC Sheldon Hawk Eagle is an Icon on our reservation. His picture is still on Main street with lights so everyone can give thanks and praise to our hero. I would like to thank our Tribal Chairman, Harold Frazier for making Lakota Warriors, soldiers, and veterans a priority. There was a small parade down main street. A soldier had returned home on leave for Christmas. I was so proud.
Sheldon, rest in peace. You will always be the Young Lakota Warrior who made the ultimate for Tribe and Country.
