proud owner of former northcastle NY car 33, a 1990 chevy 9C1 caprice, full pursuit package on a luxury interior/unmarked. the car has an interesting (and amusing) history. and i actually worked on this car when it was new. the GE two way radio shop i was part owner of did the radio work for that town. i took it for a serious "test drive" after our guys put the radio in it, and wished i could have a car like that, all shiny, new, and FAST (found out later it was the new cheif's car). well, in 2002 i got that very same car for CHEAP. a paint job, minor repair work, and i now have a car that eats crown vics for lunch! god bless america, and COP CARS!

Hi great site, my best friend bought a used interceptor. He also has the haircut and build to match. he gets a charge out of sitting on the side of the road with his marker lights on, could he be pinched for impersonating even though he doesn't pull people over.

I agree with the man. My '95 crown vic will beat 70-80% of vehicles off the line, even those little riceburners. Top end speed is plenty for most, I took my car to 140 once (and never again!) and still had a quarter of pedal left to push. Rides nice w/good handling and never overheats. White with dark tinted windows makes me a little unpopular in some neighborhoods though police and troopers normally won't look twice unless I'm doing something stupid. Have heard stories about police impersonators and think that it's extremely ignorant, there will be no mercy when one gets caught and it just isn't worth it.
