Just wanted everyone who stops by this website to stop using the following hotels: Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, MainStay Suites, Suburban, Econo Lode and Rodeway Inn. The main company of these hotels Choice Hotels pulled their sponsorship of High School Rodeo because of Steve Hindi & his SHARK people. All of the horse show people, rodeo people, who travel the United States attention Rodeos, horse show events, cutting, reining, etc please stop patronizing these hotels - Let's see how losing revenue will affect their decision to pull their sponsorship - Maybe Steve Hindi can make up the lost revenue for them.

We were very close friends with Fred Shepard, and miss him. Saw your web site and reminded us of the days I (James) used to rodeo at the Rowell Ranch with Fred. I was managing a ranch in Crow Canyon and shoeing horses at the time.

Having lived in Pleasanton and Livermore, I have both gone to the Rowell rodeo and rode in the rodeo. Met Slim Pickens there one year. It was always great to see the ranch coming home from the Bay Area to Pleasanton.

Great webpage. Lots of fine memoies. My Dad Buster Costner did alot of cowboying there. He was raised in Oakdale and moved to Castro Valley in approx. 1957 and became a brandinspector. We would come the slaughter house alot. My dad also shod horses and bought horses from the slaughter house and trained them also with my moms Help Jackie Costner.. My sister and I were Hostess for the Rodeo many times and rode at the Junior Grand Nationa, Good memories...Will try to email.....
