John, Great website and especially interesting seeing your building techniques. It is always interesting to see new techniques, especially spelled out as your site shows with your excellent photos. Please put me on our update listing so I can keep up with your progress

Thank you. A fascinating, impressive and helpful description of a project of which you may be justly proud. I look forward to following progress. Your approach will inform my current project which is a large, Voith Schneider powered, ocean going tug. This ship is freelance but loosely based on the Schmit fleet.

John,
Excellent web site! It is surely contributing to add fans to our hobby. I am scratch building an Akula, using a different approach for the electronics (i.e. using a microcontroller solution). I will periodically check for updates… can’t wait for the sea trials…!
Cheers,
Guillermo

What a fantastic web site!! I am mightily impressed with the neatness of workmenship and layout. I am in progress of building VSP 1:25 scale tug. One of two own design VSP units built so far with 112mm dia orbit. I am about to glue the deck on. I am looking foward to seeing your fire boat in the water. Have you tested the VSP units yet? Any idea of the cost of the project? Regards, Julian
