Even when Kael is wrong, her lucid style and
dispassionate reasoning nearly always make her
worth reading. She does not suffer pandering
gladly, which I applaud, but her toughness
sometimes borders on cycisim. Nevertheless, her
reviews deserve to live on.They speak as much
about her time as do the movies about theirs.

Yes! I wish I found this again sooner. I would
always, always always, visit this website to enquire
of Ms. Kael's opinion--before or after I watched a
movie. And when Yahoo shut down geocities I was
so despondent; I didn't find all the review I wanted
from the paucity of Internet Archive website
snapshots. THANK GOD YOU'RE BACK!!
I hope this website remains online for all to be
enriched by Ms. Kael's insight.

Thanks for putting this together - I was able to find her somewhat dispiriting review of "It's a Wonderful Life", which did not appear to be where you would expect it, on the New Yorker website. One thing that I think would enhance it is if you could add dates on the reviews. Some like "It's a Wonderful Life" were written long after it came out, and presumably some were written at the time. Probably that would be quite a tedious task, but valuable for research purposes
