LeeAnn, I think you have a beautifus website, I was diagnosed with Cryptogenic Hepatitus in March this year. I am a Vietnam Era veteran, Ex medic with lots of blood exposure&needle sticks etc. I have all the symptoms and more! Married 40 years to a wonderful supportave woman, No Iv drug use, used to drink heaviluy in youth. And the VA has the balls to call it cryptogenic steatto hepatitus. I now have a TIPS shunt as 90 % of liver is gone and am awaiting transplant. I lost track of all the Gammaglobulin shots I got in the butt.

Just found out we have it.Dont know what way to go right now.I probably will not do the traditional Rx. My wife thinks she will.Just now finding peace in my life which is a blessing for sure.I starting seeking true peace about a year ago and found out about the HCV a month ago.Now to get my spirtual side in balance with the rest of my life.Even with the HCV[or knowledge of]life is truly good.My advice to all is too be 100% honest with yourselves about EVERYTHING!This includes emotional honesty !! Anger is just pain.I met a lady who told me that the only two driving forces in life are fear and love.I am still processing that but it is great food for thought.Peace to all.

Hi again, I meant to post a scripture that helps me and hopefully will be of help to others.
For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you. Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13

Hi,
June of 2003 I was diagnosed with Chronic Hep C, genotype 1a. When I found out I had it I contacted some friends from the old crowd to let them know I had it and found out that several of them have it too. Because of the way I got it that's how I know I've had it for 25 to 30 years. I will be 46 Sept. 2004.
In August of 2003 my viral load was 2,720,00; In April of 2004 it was 7,080,000. I was on inerferon/ribavivrin(spelling) for only 3 mnths but had to go off treatments. I decided to change doctors when the one I had last year told me to let him know if I hear of any new treatments. Now I go to a Specialist at Indiana University Medical Group.
Besides having hep c I have fibromylagia, bad arthritis in my knees, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, and hard telling what else, lol. The only way I'm able to cope with all this is through the Lord. Even though we don't always like what we have to go through, the Lord will help us thru all things :o) I will keep you all in my prayers.
Take care.

PS: LeighAnn, I finally got my Hep C Awareness Pin. It is lovely. I also sent you an email. Thank you :o)
