As a veteran of Iraqi freedom myself I would like to say that Lori's story brings tears to my eyes. It takes an amazing woman to stand up and fight for her country. Women who choose to stand up and fight are stong and full of heart. Doing something with there life that many women could never do. Lori is a true hero and a fine example to girls every where. Pray for those who serve. Those serving in all corners of the globe. Those who never made it home and those who have yet to fight the battles. Every person who has made the choice to serve there nation is a hero.

We are Otoe Missouria from Oklahoma and I lost my 15 year old daughter do to samanela Sept 15th 2005 and as i went to turn on her computer she had your daughter has her background. I just lost it. Your daughter has touch so many Indian Girls and women like she did mine as a symbol of courage and strength. We need that in our women today. I pray for you and your daughter's kids. I know what you went through and the pain your feel daily, but your daughter has touched one indian girl's life to bring her pride even if it was for a short time.

I am not a Native American, but I am a retired soldier. I want her family to know that I visit this site once a month to remember Lori. I never met her but I wish to honor her. I would be proud if my 3 daughters grow up to be like her.
