Hi Mike, regarding the likeness of Ericka Christenson (sp) I couldn't think who you meant until I saw "Flightplan" with Jodie Foster. I kept overlooking the film because I heard it was first offered to Nicole Kidman, who turned it down; (thank goodness), it was really quite good. I've been a fan of Jodie Foster ever since seeing her in "The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane". Foster almost always never disappoints, however, Nicole Kidman is at least consistant--all her movies are bad, with the exception of "Malice" and some ghost-like story with two young children--the title escapes me. Maybe it was too much time spent with Tom Cruise--that would drive anybody nuts. Kidman averages one good movie every ten years it seems--I don't want to appear harsh, it's just my opinion.

Meg,
You're right about Franka Potente in Run, Lola, Run, one of my favorites. (It's time to watch that one again.) I have a hard time telling Julia Stiles from Erika Christensen. Has anyone ever seen a photograph of them together?

Hey Meg, just thought I'd chime in on your post here. The Simpsons movie comes out on the 27th and I heard they supposedly worked on it for a number of years to make sure that it wouldn't disappoint so we'll see. I kind of like how they killed off Bourne's g/f in the beginning of "Supremecy" because it set the tone for the rest of the movie (and the series). And I agree about Julia Stiles, it's like watching paint dry.

When does "The Simpsons" movie start, wasn't it supposed to be out already? I'm looking forward to that and the third and final "Bourne" movie this August. "Bourne Identity" was excellent, the second, "Suprememcy" was disappointing, why they killed off a particular character and expect success, I'm not sure. Will someone please give Julia Stiles a cup of coffee and a caffeine tablet, her monotonous and tired acting nearly puts me to sleep. Wasn't Franka Potente (Bourne's g/f) the kool-aid colored hair girlfriend in "Run, Lola Run"? I'll check the main page later.

Hi Mike,
The Bruce Willis movie does look good--better than number three anyway. I wondered why Michael Bay sounded familiar, then I looked at my coasters on the coffee table and bedside--some bargain bin finds I was curious about. Oh dear!! I love a good "bad" movie ("Faster Pussycat, Kill! Kill!" and "Showgirls") but for goodness sake, give me something to work with! I did however like "The Island", it was a good taut action adventure and I was pleasantly surprised. Hoping for the same with "Transformers." Thanks for your response and have a good week! Meg

Meg, I like Shrek the Third and Live Free or Die Hard. Above average for sequels. Max likes Ratatouille. I haven't seen it yet and am also looking forward to Transformers (I can't believe I'm saying that about a Michael Bay movie) and Rescue Dawn, the new Werner Herzog Vietnam POW film with Christian Bale and Steve Zahn. More about them soon, I hope.

Hey Jodan, long time!! Today would be the perfect day to escape inside to see a movie--it's ninty degrees in the shade. The one movie I'm looking forward to other than "Transformers" is Steven King's "1408". What are some of the other big movies this summer? Can't find my Entertainment Weekly.
It's so hard to read these numbers to post a mesage, my eyes get all googly..
