I really enjoyed both "Disturbia" and "1408" although "1408" went on a little too long for me. Sometimes less is more, but overall a good flick. I knew you'd be right about "Scoop" Mike, but I do enjoy a good comedy/murder mystery, like the old Nick and Nora Charles or Margaret Rutherford playing Agatha Christie's "Miss Marple" from many years ago. I really liked Woody Allen's "Manhattan Murder Mystery" and the film version of Ira Levin's broadway play, "Deathtrap". Even Dyan Cannon's high-pitched, shrill shrieking throughout the movie was funny--someone give that woman a valium tablet!! Good fun and I was able to pick up a copy of "Deathtrap" on DVD in the market for five bucks!! The only other movie I can think of that was somewhat related was "Comprimising Positions" with Susan Sarandon. Have a good Halloween!!!

Meg, Disturbia is fun, isn't it? I think you'll like 1408, too. It plays with horror conventions in a nice was and has a good ending. Don't expect much from Scoop. If you like Flags of Our Fathers, find a copy of Letters from Iwo Jima, same story told from the Japanese point of view.

Bargain bin finds and DVD purchases. I picked up "Disturbia" and "1408". I realy enjoyed "Disturbia", stupid fun--"Rear Window" was a better film, but it was entertaining. Bargain bin finds: "Flags of Our Fathers", "Smokin' Aces","Scoop" a woody Allen Comedy/Murder mystery and a remake of Bob Clark's "Black Christmas", something for the holidays. I sure do miss your show Mike and Max.

I just saw Snakes on a Plane...man that was funny stuff! I dont think i've ever seen anything better in a movie than when that old grouchy guy threw the little dog at the huge snake to buy them a few more seconds... "you animal!" "it's a dog, lady!" ...and then the huge snake proceeded to eat the guy a little later. Karma's a bitch, old grouchy dude. Anyways, cheap entertainment certainly has a place on my tv.

hey mike, oreilly was saying that the fact that all the bad people in bourne were us government officials it was anti-american propoganda for the rest of the world. and cody called in about that discussion. oddly enough Bill oreilly seemed to like the movie, just thought it would hurt our image world wide.

I used to listen to Max and Mike a few years ago and would like to find them again... Are they still on the radio, or exclusively a Podcast? If still on radio, is there an affiliate list somewhere? Thanks!
