Hey Greg, I saw 10,000 BC last night and thought it was okay. It was a little predictable though, and it had a ton of elements from Apocalypto and Stargate.

Should I not be looking forward to "10,000 B.C." as much as I am? It looks kind of cool, and you can't go wrong with the chance of a woolymamoth crushing somebody! I just hope it doesn't stink

Hi Max and Mike, I used to listen your show, I am very glad to know that you are still updating your website even after the show was canceled. By the way, it's getting very easy to make your own podcast. have you ever consider to broadcast your own show on current movies? probably just once a month? There are more than 100 podcasts by amateur film lovers, but the quality was just horrible compared to your old show, and I really miss your old show.

I would just like to point out that Julie Christie has won an Acadamy Award for best actress for a darling little movie called "Darling". My ears perked up when this morning I heard Max inform the masses Ms. Christie had never won an Oscar. Julie Christie is an amazing actress and may take home Oscar sunday night, but it will be her second time doing so.

Yes that's the one, and it really does have a great cast. The basic idea could be believable as a true story, but I don't think it is. Anyone who is looking for a light hearted movie should check this one out. It won't knock your socks off, but it'll be enjoyable.

Meg, watch "Hard Candy". As loveable as Ellen is said to be in "Juno"(I have not seen it), she is quite angry in "Hard Candy". Her anger is not misplaced, however. I am locked in to TCM. I am trying to round out my movie knowledge catching up on the old ones. What Mike said was right on. The Oscars are going to be tricky this year. No Scorcese or Hanks to get a guarantee right pick. This is the first one, in awhile, where things seem up in the air. I sure would like to see L. Linney win. She has done a lot of good ones in the past. But her category is loaded. Ok, more later...............

Mark,
That's the one with Jeff Bridges about a town deciding to make a porn movie, right? Great cast. How is it?

Has anyone seen "The Amateurs" (just came out on dvd)? I just watched it and thought it was pretty good for the most part. A little hokey at times, but silly enough in an entertaining way to be worthwhile.
