Meg, Disturbia turned out to be a spring hit. I think it'll do very well on DVD, too. That kid Shia LeBoeuf does a good job and I think he'll make Transformers a hit later this summer. Grindhouse will be another good DVD because you'll be able to fast forward through the boring claptrap in Tarantino's part. I haven't seen 28 Months Later yet, so I don't know how good a zombie movie it is. But check out Severance. It's a funny, nasty, smart horror movie about a bunch of defense contractors on a retreat and the fun-loving companions they meet out in the woods.

I'm looking forward to some DVD's this Fall season, according to www.videoeta.com "Grindhouse" and the Hitchcock ripoff of "Rear Window", "Disturbia" will both be out August and September of this year. I'm also looking forward to S2 of "The Odd Couple", the first season's hilarious!! Also looks like some Horror has returned to the Sundance channel on Sunday nights at midnight, at least tonight. Mike, looking for your reviews of "Disturbia" on the main page--didn't get too high a mark, but should probably do well in DVD sales. Any good Zombie movies coming out soon?

Carrie found her movie. It's an episode of Orson Welles Great Mysteries called "The Inspiration of Mr. Budd," based on a Dorothy L. Sayers story. As for paying 50% more for an IMAX ticket, that seems steep to me, particularly since I think that IMAX gets a little hard to take after the first hour.

trying to find what this movie is - old man/bushy eyebrows and beard - kills wife goes on the run. Goes to a barber to get his hair/beard dyed red for a disguise. The barber hears the police report and realizes he is the man. He dyes his hair and lets him leave. He calls the police and tells them where to find him and what he will look like. The man's hair/beard is itching him so he goes into the airport bathroom to wash it. Then it turns bright green. I saw this "filmstrip" in Junior High back in the 70s and it is driving me crazy!

just saw 300 on Imax...an interesting experience. I liked it because I'm into that action stuff, but 15 bucks for Imax was a bit much. My friend thinks it costs that much more for them to produce the Imax, so is that really the case? That's almost 50% more than a standard admission! What's the deal? And is it really worth it when it comes down to it? It was cool and all, but I'm not so sure.

That was terrible news about Bob Clark. I think I haven't seen Black Christmas. I always get it confused another Christmas-themed horror. But Porky's and Christmas Story are on my own ever expanding all-time favorite list. I envy your having been able to listen to Shep on the original broadcasts. I came upon him later. I've got a CD of the radio special/tribute that Harry Shearer did a few years ago, "A Voice in the Night." It contains long segments from some of his best pieces. The drive-in classics DVD is doing exactly the same thing that Grindhouse is doing, but without the interminable conversations. (See the review on the reviews page. [where else would we put it?])
