Was FC2 on the "Moose" from Aug.1983-May 1987. Have more memories than can be listed. Grenada, lobbing shells into Beruit Lebenon, two med cruises, Gitmo collision. The list is long and illustrious. GMGC John Thompson was my best friend and we trekked all over Europe. Of all the memories in life, I list my Moosbrugger experiences among the most precious. I'll never forget the crew. You were all the best. I would like to hear from anyone who has ever served aboard the finest ship the Navy ever had. "More Than Required"!

The Moose Will Always Be Loose!! Unforgetable memories and many lessons that have guided my life after serving the longest tour of my navy career (5 years) onboard The Mighty Moose... FYI: The ship's bell is now watching over the Naval Weapons Station, Goose Creek, SC!

My mother's maiden name was MaryLouise Moosbrugger and I believe that Frederick Moosbrugger was a great uncle to her so this is quite exciting to see this ship that plays a part in her family's history.
