Wow! this website sure brought back lots of memories, growing up in Marieville, North Providence, been in California since graduating from North Providence High in 1966, have been back a few times and always get Hot Weiners first thing. What a great website especially the old drive ins and diner. Got your tee shirt and will be making those weiners here in sunny California. thanks for the memories!

Hey-thanks for the site. I certainly don't miss the weather, but I do miss the Italian bread and eateries. We need Twin Oaks to have a restaurant here! The south doesn't know what good chowda is.

OMIGOD!!! I just traveled back in time to my childhood! LOVE YOUR SITE! Native "RoDYElander" - grew up in Providence near Olneyville, then moved to Chepachet at 13 - YES, I was a Ponaganset student: "No school Fostah Glahstah". As a child, I was on Salty Brine's shack & went on one of his Narraganset Bay cruises. RI may be the smallest state, but we've got the biggest attitude! And the best food, greatest beaches...so what if we "tawk funny"?

I was born in Pawtucket, RI. My husband was born in Louisiana. He spent 12 years up north. Moved to Texas in 1998. Sorry we moved. Miss everything about the Northeast except the snow. Although my husband loved the snow.Would love to go back home if
we could afford it. Mayne someday. That is what our goal is. I would never leave again.
Thank you so much for this website. Made me cry.
I miss the north.
