My mother was in the hurricane of 38. Luckily she rode her bike home. You know what happened to those on the bus. They(my parents) went to visit the fellow who told the story. He was in my moms scholclass. He lost several brothers and sisters. My mother was 11 and stayed alone on Jamestown throughout the hurricane. My grandmother was working as a nurse and could not get to the island. I still have family there. Plan to see some soon. Nice to meet you. Regards, Susan Koblegard

Born and raised in good old R.I. and I certainly do miss it. The only thing I don't miss is the weather and my kids. I could do without these hurricanes!!! Wilma was my first experience and I hope it's my last. I would take a blizzard over that any day.

I grew up in North Providence and Providence. Went to Centerdale, George J. West, and Mount Pleasant. Married three kids, and four grandchildren. I think Rhode Island became famous after I left. Jim Sheffield
