My wonderful sis-in-law (Hi Kat!) sent me this website. Dis is perfect! I'm a 16 year R.I. transplant and get homesick sometimes. I have to remember to drop my "r's" whenever we come back to visit. My Arizonan husband can't wait to come back just for da weinas!!

I discovered this website from Mark Patinkin's column - as I ventured in, I began to recognize names from high school. Then I went into Life In Da 60's and there was my grammar school graduation class of 1964. Groovy.

I spent many summers and a couple years in Cranston/Warwick area. I miss the food in RI!!!! Florida has NOTHING like good ole' Rhodie! I am actually looking for anywhere that sells and ships the actual wienees! I have the sauce packs and every time ANYONE goes up there I order my supply, but I soon run out! When I was a little girl I was told wieners were only sold in RI because no other state would allow the ingredients. I personally DON'T CARE. But I have to have my "tree all dah way". Please help if you can! IM DESPERATE!!!!!

Homesick Rhode Islander who has been transplanted from Southern Rhode Island since late '72 until mid 1980 because of the Military and after that because of working Internationaly. Loved the site only it made me even more homesick.
