My family came to RI in 1634. Lt. John Albro became a surveyor for RI vs. the Conn. state/colony borders. I go back to the "ferst cuppa dert" and am proud of it. I was aksed why I "nevah" left RI & specially Aquidneck Island. I brought him aorund to my family burials
and said..."this is why" I am a Roe D-Eye Landa.....Aquidneck Eye land-dah as well and don't "wanna evah leave" It's my home. I love Roe D-eyeland. My roots are hee ya and I have no ust to evah move. Besides my ancestors wouldn't approve "eitha". Seriously, Rhode Island is home and in it's soil I will rest one day.

Moved to the Bay Area (California) about 10 years ago. Miss LOTS of people from RI, and REALLY miss the food. i.e. AlForno; Apsara; NY System Hot Weiners; Adesso; New Rivers; and 3 Steeple Street. What about Aunt Carrie's in Narragansett, the White Horse Tavern and Black Pearl in Newport -- All great places!!!!

Moved from R.I. to the upper-midwest last year; miss R.I. & all things R.I. very much! R.I. has the best food, best restaurants, best coffee, best people, best landscape--not to mention a beautiful ocean! This website helps my homesickness. You can take the woman outta' RI...but you can NEVER take the R.I. outta' the woman! :)
