Hey, anybody here from Greystone or Centredale ? Remember the Greystone bakery across from Worcester Textiles ? I used to go there for my Mom to get a fresh, warm loaf of bread. They had the best pork pies and tarts too. How about Greystone Fish and Chips ? The Best ! Wrapped in newsprint. Remember Jim and Jimmy the ice cream man. Sold hand made White Mountain ice cream. My favorite was frozen pudding. I saw Jimmy out sometimes after 11pm still selling on those hot summer nights. I swear there hasn't been real ice cream since. My Uncle Hugo delivered fresh bread. I worked with him one summer making his rounds. What a treat having Italian bread fresh out of the oven from Rinaldi's. Now that was real Italian bread. Sometimes they would have pizza ready and we would have that. What a treat. I worked in the Worcester Textiles for a few years in the late 70s. It closed down just a few years ago. Kinda sad when I think of all the friends and relatives that worked there over the years. Do you remember Mary E Owens school ? How about when Centredale had Billboards ? The theater was turned into an indoor mini-golf. They played Italian movies there before that. It also hosted a Rock Concert in the late 70s. It was one wild concert ! If you remember these things, we might have been neighbors ! Drop me a line.

Love this site. Left RI in my 20's but it will always be home. Ordered the Hot Weiner spices, coffee syrup & clam cake mix & had neighbors over for a RI food night. Great time.
Keep up the good work. I still have the accent 'afta' all these 'yeas'
