--Introduction to Poetry--
I ask them to take a poem
and hold it up to the light
like a color slide
or press an ear against its hive.
I say drop a mouse into a poem
and watch him probe his way out,
or walk inside the poem's room
and feel the walls for a light switch.
I want them to water-ski
across the surface of a poem
waving at the author's name on the shore.
But all they want to do
is tie the poem to a chair with rope
and torture a confession out of it.
They begin beating it with a hose
to find out what it really means.

The poem above that you have posted on your site is delightful. I enjoy reading other people works as well as writing it. I've been writing for six years. Please visit my site when time allows. Thank you.

Hi Maale,
I felt after you were kind enough to visit and leave a contribution at United Poets that the least I could do was visit you! Though I wasn't able to read them all I truly enjoyed your poetry. You have a well rounded and impressive site. I will be sure to return for further exploration. Keep up the good work, and hope you will visit us again soon. Thank you for leaving your link at United Poets.
Sincerely,

i'm impressed, and feel so foolish for
messing around with your whitmanesque
monolouge. no one seemed to be reading
your poems and i know what that feels
like. i've got a profile now, with a
corner of one of my paintings, and a picture from l986. now i look like the
painting. it is the corner of my eye
from a very large painting.
really enjoyed this website. will investigate more.
love,
PEACE
