Oh, Jim, if the world only knew what they were missing in knowing you, they would beat down the doors of that humble Arkansas cabin that houses a noble man, a man of great worth, a scribe used by the One who walked on this earth. I love you, Dear Friend, and while you ask for no tears at your passing, there will be many selfish tears from my eyes, falling at the loss of your presence, joined with joyful tears knowing that I will be able to share eternity(s?) with you! Hello Mr. Brandes,
I am Pastor Jon's daughter, Amber. I just wanted to say thank you for your great poem that you wrote about my dad. It was great to see some pictures of him as well. You portrayed my dad as I've always known him. His love for Christ was the very reason I became a Christian. I wanted to love Christ as much a my earthly father did.
Thanks again,
~Amber :)

This is very nice. He sounds like the kind of man every church could use. Keep up the good work.

Your words bring back our childhood times and memories. Who ever really sees "me". My deepest desire was for my mother to really KNOW me but she never did or could. There were too many presupposed events and memories in her mind and could only see what she thought she saw. It made me sad but I finally accepted that only God and me can really know who I am.
Thanks for your beautiful words.
