is some intresting reading on the heat scale for some things. its insane to think theres sauce hotter than police grade pepper spray.

I too was a Hoe's affcionado. I used to get it from a
place called Chittocks in Bishop Auckland when I
lived there, then got it sent down by them when I
moved south.
I wrote to the Pandora Pickle Co who made it in the
90s and they told me that Netto's own label sauce
was the same. It wasn't exactly but it was bloody
close and very good. So for a few years i was
interspersing that with bottles of the real stuff
(WITH goose illustration!) sent down from the
North. Then it all went horribly wrong.
I ran out of Hoe's, asked to have some more sent
down and was told they'd not had it for ages. Then
discovered Netto own label had changed and was
crap. Then discovered Pandora were nowhere to be
found.
I guess this is the end of the line :-(
Except for one last hurrah. I discovered a bottle of
Nettos at the back of the cupboard the other day.
It's 7 years old but I guess it'll still be OK - lots of
vinegar in it ;-)
