Very sorry to hear about Brian's disappearance, and hope you guys find him. Ive spent some years reearching some unsolved mysteries, often which contain very few clues, and wanted to offer some insite, if it even helps. The following is just a deduction. First, Brian came with friends to this last bar, and from there was not seen again. So something in the bar transpired that is unusual. Either he got a phone call from someone he was to meet, or met someone there. There is no reason to leave without seeing his two friends, unless he was hiding something or some behavior he didnt want anyone to know about. That seems evident. What would that be? Second, because no camera saw him leave, he obviously left descreetly through an alternate route or backdoor. That must be the case, as no camera shot saw him leave. This is the only explanation based on the facts I see. So, whats left is there is a 50% chance he left because he met someone there he didnt want anyone to know he met, or he met someone who called him by phone. If phone logs were checked and showed no calls, then the first case is what happened. So, assuming phone logs show no clue, we have him leaving descreetly, meeting someone, and some behavior or event he didnt want his friends to know about? What could that be? I think he might have been gay, and deeply hiding this fact from friends and family. From the photos, somethings stand out on that. It would account for all the events as well. What I think happened is he met a man at the bar, and left through another means, and went with this guy. Wherever he went, something violent might have occured and he may have been in jeopardy or worse, murdered. This is a wild guess, but a likely scenario. There is the off-chance he had a gay in his outer group of friends that was involved, and knew this about him. Regardless, if I was a detective and had the video, I would analyze all the men in that club that night and get receipts and names. I would track down all single men that were there, and interview them. Any video showing a single man without a partner entering the bar would be your guy. I hope this helps....this is based on simple deduction. I know it may be Brian is not gay, but dont rule this fact out. Fact is stranger than fiction.

I want to add to the thread below about the main going in and out. This is the guy in the orange sweater correct? If so, I thought he was cleared. Maybe not? My heart goes out to you all. I have followed it since it aired (in Georgia). We have a similar case going on here right now with a missing 18 year old named Justin Gaines. He was last seen leaving a bar in the early morning hours of Nov 2nd. He hasn't been seen since. I immediately thought of Brian. Mr. Shaffer, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. You are enduring pain that no parent should. But praise to you and your supporters for getting the word out about him. He is still spoken of and thought about down here in Georgia:) Alexis, I feel so much for you as well b/c my fiance encountered a trauma from a bar but was found, luckily. The pain of going through that was hard but I could not begin to imagine what you must have been going through. He was the love of your life. Bless you all. Your strength is an inspiration for families and friends of missing persons.

I am so sorry to hear about Brian. it is truly said to see this happen to such a loving person. I feel so sad for Alexis. It has to be really hard to lose the love of your life.
